Natural Hairology Salon Policies & Procedures
These policies exist to protect the time, energy, and professionalism of the salon while ensuring every client receives consistent, high-quality service. Booking an appointment constitutes agreement to all policies below.
Client Service Process (What to Expect)
Before Your Appointment
• All clients must complete the required consultation form prior to booking.
• Hair must meet preparation requirements listed for each service (detangled and free of product buildup unless otherwise stated).
• Deposits are required to secure all appointments.
Arrival & Check-In
• Clients must arrive on time. Arrival time is the appointment start time, not parking or walking-in time.
• Late arrivals may result in shortened services or cancellation.
During the Service
• The salon environment is calm, professional, and focused on hair care.
• Stylists reserve the right to stop or refuse service if policies are violated.
After the Service
• Remaining balance is due immediately upon service completion.
• Aftercare instructions are provided and must be followed to maintain results.
Booking & Deposit Policy
• All appointments require a non-refundable deposit to secure the time slot.
• Deposits are applied toward the total service cost.
• Appointments are not confirmed until the deposit is received.
• Deposits protect the stylist from last-minute cancellations and no-shows.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Standard Services
• Cancellations or reschedules for standard services must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
Extended Services (8 Hours or More)
• Services requiring 8 hours or more (a full workday) require a minimum of 7 days’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling.
• Services scheduled for multiple consecutive days require 7–10 days’ notice, depending on the length and scope of the service.
• One courtesy reschedule may be allowed only if proper notice is given.
Clients may reschedule one time per booking if notice is given at least 48 hours in advance. Any additional reschedules will require a new deposit. Deposits are non-refundable and may only be transferred once. Late cancellations, no-shows, and repeated rescheduling may require full payment for future bookings.
Noise, Distraction & Focus Policy
The salon environment is intentionally structured to support focus, safety, and high-quality hair care—especially for detailed and time-intensive natural hair services.
Children & Childcare
• Children are not permitted in the salon unless they are the client receiving service.
• Clients must arrange childcare prior to their appointment.
• This policy exists to prevent distractions, ensure safety, and allow the stylist to work without interruption.
• Appointments may be canceled if this policy is not respected.
Music, Calls & Audio
• Clients are encouraged/need to bring headphones or earbuds if they wish to listen to music, watch videos, or take private calls.
• Speakerphone use is not permitted.
• Loud audio, videos, or conversations that disrupt the service will be asked to stop.
Work, Laptops & Business Matters
• Clients may quietly work on laptops or devices only if it does not interfere with the service.
• Work calls, meetings, or repeated interruptions that affect timing or quality of service are not permitted.
• The stylist may pause or stop the service if distractions compromise results.
General Salon Environment
• The salon is a professional workspace. Excessive noise, movement, or disruptions are not allowed.
• Clients are expected to remain present, cooperative, and mindful throughout the service.
Policy Enforcement
• Failure to comply with this policy may result in service interruption, cancellation, or refusal of future bookings.

The stylist is committed to providing professional, consistent, and high-quality natural hair services in alignment with industry standards and best practices.
What the Client Can Expect
• Services performed with care, precision, and professional skill
• Use of clean, sanitized tools and a safe working environment
• Clear communication regarding service expectations, timing, and aftercare
• Honest recommendations based on hair condition, history, and goals
• Respect for the client’s time and appointment schedule
Professional Boundaries
• Results may vary based on hair texture, density, history, and aftercare
• The stylist does not guarantee specific outcomes beyond the agreed service
• The stylist may adjust or decline services if hair or scalp conditions compromise safety or results
Correction & Adjustment Policy
• If a concern arises related to the service provided, clients must notify the salon within 48 hours
• Adjustments will be evaluated at the stylist’s discretion
• No refunds are issued for services rendered
Mutual Respect
• A respectful, cooperative relationship is expected between client and stylist
• Disruptive behavior, excessive micromanaging, or unrealistic demands may result in service refusal
Stylist Courtesy Delay Policy
The stylist values client time and makes every effort to remain on schedule. In rare circumstances where the stylist is running behind, the following applies:
• Clients will be notified via call or text as soon as a delay is identified
• Delays may occur due to extended services, client hair conditions, or unforeseen circumstances
• Courtesy notifications do not alter existing salon policies regarding cancellations, deposits, or service pricing
Reasonable Delay Window
• Delays of up to 15 minutes are considered reasonable and do not warrant compensation
• Delays exceeding 15 minutes will be communicated with updated timing
Professional Boundaries
• Stylist delays do not entitle clients to discounts, refunds, or policy exceptions
• If a delay significantly impacts the client’s availability, the stylist may offer rescheduling at their discretion
